megaman: my personal favorite band is a toss up with Led Zep and AC/DC
DrgnFrc Rulz: Are there any plans for a Megadeth song in Guitar Hero 3? If there is, can you tell us which it will be?
megaman: guitar hero three is not something we are aware of right now, but it would be kewl since the game was so much fun to play.
R??n&Sti__py: did your parents support your music career?
megaman: my dad didn't know much about it, and my mom was indifferent until i proved that i could make it
Brock ((pRoNgTeR)): Question for, any of the members... What is the average age that you guys started playin instruments?
megaman: i only have one age i started at and that was 13
noam247: What bands/ artists influenced you in your childhood?
megaman: there were a lot of influences, but mostly inversions of rock and roll from the south in the fourties. the bristish invasion was based largely on american rock and roll
SexyJames: Hi, how did megadeth all meet up originally?
megaman: this is a different line up and there have been a few so there are numerous stories
megaman: a lot of the chance meetings are told in the behind the music on megadeth by vh1
-=neXus=-Kurosaki,Ichigo: How did you feel about your song gears of war to be the theme song to the main charcter in the hit x box 360 game gears of war?
megaman: i loved the gears of war game to the extent i could play it - and not get my head split with a chainsaw
Artaxs: The first time I saw you play was 11 years ago or so in San Jose. It was the most brutal mosh pit I'd ever been in (and an awesome show to boot!). My question is, how do you feel about pitting at your shows?
megaman: pitting? moshing? same thing? i think some people do it for fun, and some people do it to hurt people
SOS-Jolt: Did you see yourself playing in a metal band when you were a child, or did you have any other ambitions on your mind?
megaman: i thought i was going to be a baseball player
noam247: When, approximately, will your next album be released? Is there any specific theme for the album?
megaman: i dont know and i dont know :-)
dL - LiVe_WiRe: Im a big fan of megadeth thrash and death metal. do any of the members of megadeth enjoy listening to death metal...if so which bands. Also do you hear any death metal bands with megadeth unfluence?
megaman: i dont know. i dont really listen to them, although i know there is a lot of talent there. ask the drovers
fat_basstard: Do the "new" bandmember learn the songs exact as played by their predecessors or do they all add a personal touch to the songs (as in solos/bridges etc)?
megaman: i would hope they would want to learn the solos and do them that way. all of the predessesors were tremendously talented
DrgnFrc Rulz: Many people at my high school that I ask about Megadeth haven't even heard of it except from me. Is the band doing something to advertise its self to this generation of teens?
megaman: that would be a question for our label?

megaman: i have many, but the last city i was in in usually my favorite

brett5150rr: Was there a sense of fear playing in Tel Aviv, Israel this past month, being that Israel has been the target for terror attacks for many years now?
megaman: we just played glasgow too, and most people wouldn't think of the hard scottish town to be a target of terrorism, ala we have played many places were people fight for their beliefs.
ash: Dave, what is you favourite megadeth album?
megaman: i am really excited about United Abominations and especially all the debate over the lyrics. its fascinating to me!

megaman: his name is vic rattlehead, and vic as in victim!
Lord Emwurst: How long does it take to play, record, and mix the average megadeth album?
megaman: that depends. this last one was done over a year

megaman: that is such a hard question to answer. that is like asking a man with 100 wives which is his favorite.

megaman: i like to read and spend time with my family and our horses

megaman: i dont know yet. it was just one steenkin riff

megaman: broke!

megaman: for me?
megaman: scorpion is hard

megaman: satellite is different from Mtv and Vh1 so its hard to answer your question quickly

megaman: justis is better at so many things than i am or was. he is a better guitarist too right now than i was at his age

megaman: dave for president? if they put the best guy in the country in the white house there would actually be a lot of people there. but this country is run by money and pressure

megaman: i have temporarily named him, and we are waiting to see if it can be confirmed, at that time i will tell them

megaman: i wouldn't want to settle down anywhere. i would want to keep seeing all of the countries that i have made friendships with. i always run into droogs on the streets and it is a fun awkward moment when we do
(sic): what is your opinion of how metal has progressed over the years, and what it's like today?
megaman: i am glad metal is showcasing guitar solos again

megaman: beavis?
Nikuru: Hey Dave, we've seen you on Drew Carey and most likely have heard you on Duck Dodgers. What's the chance you'll make more appearances on television, whether it be in a comedic sense or in a serious tone, like when you used to appear on CNN?
megaman: i think the chances are good - when a record comes out there is always press around it
DrgnFrc Rulz: Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band launched their own satellite radio station a few years ago that played only their music. Would doing this be something that would interest you?
megaman: i have talked about it, but to do it on the net, there are specific rules that you have to follow, and i am just too busy right now to worry about that. :-(

megaman: megadeth :-)
???rKm??N??: Dave, you've been playing Dean guitars for a couple of years now. How are you finding them compared to Jacksons and do you have a close relationship to Dean Z (what are your experiences with the Co) if any?
megaman: i have only been there for half a year and i am more at home than i thought i would be. we have a great relationship and the guitars are monsterous.
megadroog: Dave, what's the craziest thing a fan has done for you?
megaman: well, there is the obvious, and then there is getting my name tattoo'd, it just depends on what i think is crazy at the exact moment you ask me
R??n&Sti__py: if you could relive a past moment, to change it, would you, and what would that moment be?
megaman: there are only a few moments i would have changed but i don't give them any power over me any more
SexyJames: Do you get really fed up of fans asking for your autograph, or does it make you feel good?
megaman: this chat and the computer i am hunting and pecking on is a by product of the fans who ask for autographs - so no, i never get tired of any one . . . well there are the pro autograph people who just get em and sell em

megaman: i though that risk was a huge achievement for me. although it is not a pure megadeth record; it shows my versatility
METAL: You wanted to make a megadeth game like doom, is there any news on that?
megaman: no, i forgot who the game maker was and we never got to talking about it

megaman: i like festivals because there are more people to get exposure to, but it is fun sometimes to play a small place for the intimacy

megaman: i am afraid of intersections and i am not afraid of them, but i don't like snakes or bats

megaman: i dont have any idols but i was influenced by jimmy page, angus young, michael schenker, and a few others
ash: Yuo have said that AC/DC is one of your favourite bands, what is your favourite album and how did the death of Bon Scott affect you?
megaman: i freaked when i heard about bon. i have let there be rock in my car right now

megaman: well, if it is the latter, i better get to practicing
megaman: i like jazz, classical, punk, and old swing
megaman: also r & b if it is good old school stuff

megaman: the industry is a mess

megaman: i guess having so much hardship early on that i turned that inside out and made a protective boundary that i wouldn't surrender for anything

megaman: love all of the places that i have been to, some for obvious reasons but each has its own place in my heart

megaman: no, i always knew i wasnt going to give up

megaman: a few things :-)

megaman: i like dark actors like James Dean, Clint Eastwood, etc.
Focks: Can you give us guitar players any general tips on approaching and learning Megadeth riffs?
megaman: just get a guitar trainer or a software program for your home pc and practice! palm muting is important too!!
