Droogies,
The recent years 2022 to 2024 have been important years for Megadeth. We’ve made several amazing changes in The Land Of All Things Mega.
For starters, I'm pretty sure most of you have seen clips of the shows or read a concert review and noticed how many new songs we have been able to add to our set lists. That has been a blast for me. Going back over all of the songs, I have been able to isolate just my guitar track with the help of some pretty advanced software. In doing so, I discovered one of my tricks that I used to do to get my “sound” that I just simply forgot.
WATCH TOUR VIDEOSWhen The Sick The Dying And The Dead was released it marked the completion of our record contract with our record label, Ume, our publisher, our merchandiser, and being a Grammy winner that’s sold over 50 million records worldwide, we are sitting in the best possible place a musician could ever hope to be.
We did a lot of house cleaning and we were able to parlay that into more benefits for our fans. Megadeth has always been ahead of the curve with technology and cool things to bring our fans, like Megadeth Arizona (the first band website in history) all the way to our latest project, Megadeth Digital (MDD), and our Non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
We had dinners, and guitar giveaways, and much, much more with MDD NFT holders. Props must go out to Isabel Caballero for taking such good care of everyone. I look forward to meeting all of our MDD members soon at a concert, the next bootcamp or the next Megacruise. We are always trying to give you the best we have to offer. Keep your ears open, because we are working on a lot of new stuff that I cannot wait to tell you about. Maybe even a visit to the studio while we record our next record?
Speaking of meeting you, we had the best time with our Pre-Show and After-Show meetings with our fans, the photo opportunities, and the signatures for your memorabilia. I personally love all of the ways that we were able to meet you. Your words were inspiring, and touched my heart that I am a small part of your lives.
That’s it for now.
Dave Mustaine
PS how’d ya like the Plague Doctor at the shows?
