MEGADETH TO PERFORM AT GEORGE JONES TRIBUTE CONCERT
Megadeth will take part in remembering a country music legend. The band is among the latest additions to the upcoming tribute concert honoring the late Country Music Hall of Famer George Jones.
Megadeth will contribute a performance of Jones' song "Wild Irish Rose". Dave Mustaine admits the song "may be an unexpected choice", given Jones' extensive catalog of hits. But he says the 1998 single is "a perfect example of Mr. Jones' way of reaching inside every one of us, and making us aware that we all have pain".
Megadeth is part of an extensive and primarily country music lineup for the event, dubbed "Playin' Possum! The Final NO Show". Kid Rock and R&B star Sam Moore are also on board for the concert, along with Charlie Daniels, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, Reba McEntire, and many, many more.
The show will take place at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on November 22.
