Dave reveals why he refuses to play 'The Conjuring': "Performance wise, 'The Conjuring' is one of the heaviest songs on the record, but unfortunately it's got black magic in it and I promised that I wouldn't play it any more, because there's a lot of instructions for hexes in that song. ...Fortunately for me, with all the work and the love of my friends, and not giving up with my guitar playing, I got over it. March 18, 2011 - DAVE MUSTAINE CHECKS IN FROM ST. PETERSBURG, RUSSIA
Dave Mustaine has issued the following update from St. Petersburg, Russia: "Droogies! Last night [Thursday, March 17] I was getting ready for the concert, and two hours before the show, I started to feel like I had a hernia, or more like I had been hit in the groin. I told my tour manager that I needed a Doctor and that there was no way I was going to get through this on my own; that I thought it might be in my best interest to consider canceling the show. Now I rarely, if ever cancel show... The next hour is kinda blurry, but I woke up and David [Ellefson] was holding my hand and praying over me, and even Tom [Araya] and Dave [Lombardo] from Slayer came in to check on me, so I knew I was gonna be ok... when I woke up, they said that there was so many people outside of the venue still, that they could hold the show for 30 additional minutes, and I said, "Guys, I am ok, and we can do this." March 16, 2011 - MEGADETH MAKES LIST OF HARDEST WORKING TOURING BANDS
Megadeth have found themselves in the top 20 of a new poll ranking the hardest working bands of 2010. The list was compiled by music industry website songkick.com. For the poll, the site calculated the total number of miles each touring band accumulated and added the total number of bills the act played last year. The 2011 "European Carnage" tour featuring co-headliners Megadeth and Slayer kicks off tonight, Sunday, March 13 in Kiev, Ukraine.
