Megadeth founder and frontman Dave Mustaine has announced the return of original bassist David Ellefson (1983-2002) to the iconic multi-platinum group. This reunion is appropriately timed to Megadeth’s upcoming historic month-long "Rust In Peace" 20th anniversary tour which launches March 1 in Spokane, WA. At these incredibly special shows, Megadeth will play their landmark, genre-defining 1990 album "Rust In Peace" in its entirety, in addition to other Megadeth favorites. February 8, 2010 - MEGADETH TO PLAY NORWAY ROCKS FESTIVAL AND AUSTRIA
Megadeth is confirmed to play at this year's Norway Rock festival on Wednesday, July 7 in Kvinesdal, Norway. All the tracks from Megadeth's iconic 1990 album "Rust In Peace" will be added to the Rock Band Music Store on Tuesday, Harmonix has announced. The tracks will be available for PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii versions of Rock Band. The album is available for the 360 and Wii on Tuesday (Feb. 9), and for PS3 on Thursday (Feb. 11). There are nine tracks in all, and they'll be available for $1.99 USD, £.99 UK, €1.49 EU, or 160 Microsoft Points or 200 Wii Points per track. February 1, 2010 - NEW DATES ANNOUNCED FOR AMERICAN CARNAGE TOUR
Megadeth and Slayer are thrilled to announce the new, confirmed routing for the American Carnage North American Tour, which will commence with the rescheduled Canadian Carnage East dates in Quebec City on Friday, July 23. Slayer will then head to Europe for a run of festival dates, returning to kick off the American Carnage leg in Albany, NY on August 11. American Carnage will play 26 dates across the United States and Eastern Canada up to the Labor Day weekend, ending in Portland, OR on September 4. Testament will be Special Guest on all shows.
