June 1, 2012 - MEGADETH KICKS OFF EUROPEAN TOUR IN DESSAU, GERMANY
Megadeth kicked off its month-long European tour yesterday (Thursday, May 31) at Metalfest Open Airs 2012 in Dessau, Germany. Dave Mustaine commented on last night's show: "When we were warming up in our dressing room, all the lights went out and we knew something was up but made the best of it. Huge thanks to the fans for coming out in the rain and staying through the technical difficulties that all the bands had. Looking forward to seeing you all again in St. Goarshausen, Germany on Thursday!"
The 22-date trek includes a special one-off show at London's Electric Ballroom on June 12 following the band's return to the main stage on June 10 at U.K.'s Download festival, and will wrap up on June 29 at the Tuska festival in Helsinki, Finland. For all tour information, visit the Killing Road.

Distributed by powerHouse books, the 128-page work features a set of photos of Megadeth at their auspicious beginning, captured through the lens of rock photographer Bill Hale. Megadeth and Rob Zombie wrapped up their U.S. tour yesterday (Saturday, May 26) at the Rocklahoma festival in Pryor, OK. John Hall for Tulsa Today reports: "Following a mad dash to the main stage, fans were met by Dave Mustaine and Megadeth. Mustaine paused between songs to change guitars, each time returning to the stage clapping his hands, signifying his approval of the growing crowd. Lead guitarist Chris Broderick's playing was phenomenal as the group sailed through an hour-long set that included "Head Crusher", "Symphony of Destruction", "Peace Sells", and ended with "Holy Wars …The Punishment Due".
