November 24, 1994 - Megadeth participates in the historic first-ever MTV Europe Music Awards held at the Brandenburg Gate, Berlin, Germany where Dave Mustaine co-presents Best Female Artist Award.
After the awards ceremony, the band dashes across the city, and as part of MTV’s Club Tour, playing a blistering set at Berlin’s Marquee Club. The club held just 2,000 people, and huge crowds surrounded the venue – forcing the band to come up with an alternative to the traditional method of entering the gig. Enterprising help from locals allowed the band party to access the rear of the venue grounds through a back street, leading into a private courtyard, where they jumped over the dividing 12’ wall!
